The 7th Kibo Robot Programming Challenge (7th Kibo-RPC)

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) is pleased to inform the public, students, that the MPTC will organize the National Preliminary Round to select a student team that will represent Cambodia at the 7th Kibo Robot Programming Challenge (Kibo-RPC) to promote the study and development of skills in science, digital technology, engineering, physics, and mathematics, as well as to increase international cooperation in the field of space sector. The program provides Cambodian students with the opportunity to practice coding in a simulator for controlling robots in the International Space Station (ISS) to strengthen their problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, teamwork, and capacity-building related to the space sector, as well as to increase national and international networking.

What is the Kibo Robot Programming Challenge?

The Kibo Robot Programming Challenge (Kibo-RPC) is an educational program organized under the “Kibo-ABC” (Asian Beneficial Collaboration through Kibo Utilization) initiative of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF). The program is organized by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and various space agency partners in the Asia-Pacific region. In this program, students will need to solve complex problems aboard the International Space Station (ISS) by coding a free-flying robot (Int-Ball2) to complete various assigned tasks.
